On top of a 563 m heigh hill, at the eat of the region of Subirats, at the division line with the region of Cervelló, side to side to a calk stone mill, now abandoned, at about 600 m. from the national road 340, at the sector of the port of the Creu d’Ordal. To get there, one must take the road coming from the national road bellow the fire guarding metallic tower, a steep road crossing the stone mill gets us there.
It is a tower made out of stones from its surroundings, mixed with calk and brick. The ground plane is square, with more tha 5 m each side. It is 10 meter heigh. The low part has a slope until the first cornice, with three small viewing windows at each side. From the cornice, the work is rectangular until it ends with a part not so large and very functional. Covered with cement both in the outside and the inside. There are two windows at both the east side and the west side, one for each floor, framed with brick. The north and south sides are flat, without any gap. One could enter through the window on the first floor by means of a wooden ladder.
Nowadays, there is a hole at the east talus. Inside of it one can observe the holes which holded the wooden beams of its two floors. Its state is of complete abandonment, only remaining the main walls.
From this site one can observe a great panoramic view, almost the whole depression of the Penedès can controlled, part of the mountain line of Ordal and the creek of the Baix Anoia, as well as the Vallirana Valley.
It was built during the Guerra Gran (1793-1795) and its purpose was that of semaphore, being part of a communication network which spread from the end of Salou through Sant Vicenç de Calders, until Martorell, Collbató,… These signalisations towers are known in our contry since 1640, when the Guerra de Separació or Guerra dels Segadors burst.
